Director-general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade has showered encomiums on Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for collaborating with the umbrella body in all their activities, Sports247 reports.
While speaking against the backdrop of the NFF’s extraordinary general assembly in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Olopade reasoned that the football body’s current leadership has done well, then urged analysts and fans to stop criticising them.
“Apart from not being able to have more private sector performance, which I know we must help them achieve, I believe this team in the NFF’s board has done well.
“They’ve done their job well and need to be applauded. I may be criticised for saying this, but we should look at their KPS in terms of results from performance,” Olopade advised.
The NSC’s D.G. went in to cite some achievements he believes give the NFF’s current leadership high marks in terms of a well-anslysed Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS), based on some of their recent achievements.
“It’s this same NFF that qualified all our female teams to various categories of the Women’s World Cup. They also won the WAFCON and had Nigeria’s most successful Women’s World Cup performance ever.
“This is the same NFF leadership that got to the final of the previous AFCON and reached the semi-final of this last one, where they won bronze, by God’s grace.
“So, I just want Nigerians to please appreciate what we all are doing collectively as administrators – from the NSC to the NFF.
“Let’s appreciate the officials and the players. It’s high time we stop the attitude of criticism for everything they do. Personally, I thank the NFF for their collaboration with the NSC,” Olopade asserted.
