Sports247 gathered that ‘KSI’ (also known as JJ) opted to give Carroll the mantle at Dagenham & Redbridge, after sacking the former gaffer, Lee Bradbury, just two weeks after the Nigerian content provider bought the club.
It turned out to be the first major move of KSI’s reign at the English National League South side, which is currently 12th in the division, though he appeared excited while watching their victory over Dorking Wanderers earlier this month.
Carroll, who joined Dagenham last summer but is currently injured, also holds a minority stake in the club, which he will now combine with technical duties, despite the team having defeated
Farnborough on Tuesday night under Bradbury.
Sports247 reports further that Carroll, who is due to stand trial next January after pleading not guilty to breaching a non-molestation order against his ex-wife, will take charge of the team on an interim basis.
The 37-yeear-old Newcastle United product will take his first game against Torquay United, which is managed by legendary tactician, Neil Warnock, who recently came out of retirement yet again, now aged 77.
