Rising Nigerian sprint talent Rebecca Enilolobo celebrated her new sponsorship deal in style, securing a silver medal in the Girls’ 100m at the competition in Calabar.
The 15-year-old, who was recently awarded a student-athlete scholarship by Beacon Power Services, delivered an impressive series of performances across the rounds.

Enilolobo first showed her class in the semifinal, winning her heat in 12.37s (-1.0) to comfortably qualify for the final. She returned for the medal race and raised her level, clocking 12.20s (-0.9) to finish second overall.
The race was won by Miracle Okon, who stormed to victory with a personal best of 12.10s, while Glory Bassey finished third in 12.49s.
For Enilolobo, the podium finish marks a perfect start to life as a sponsored athlete and further confirms her growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most exciting young sprint prospects.
