The newly re-elected president of Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), Barrister Francis Orbih said he is happy that he won the election on Monday, but acknowledged that the expectations of all stakeholders are higher this time.
Sports247 reports that Orbih noted with gleeful emotions how he won the election with a mammoth margin, which he believes was made possible through the huge successes of his first two terms.

While promising to do a lot more in his third tenure as Nigeria’s badminton supremo, Orbih thanked all the delegates for giving him unanimous support at the elective congress.
Orbih recounted, “What I did was to put in my best, and I felt the result was enough to earn someone the kind of support that would bring anyone back to office.
“In spite of that, I was amazed to have such overwhelming support, as I got with my vice-president. To be unanimously returned as president with a vote of 13-zero was a bit touching for me.”
While thanking everyone who supported his re-election with their votes, Orbih affirmed that they have given him a charge to do much better in his third term, which he believes God will help him to achieve.
“What it means to me is that so much is now expected from this board. Those who gave us their votes believe in us … that we are able to deliver.
“So; it’s a new challenge to me. While I’m happy that I’m still in office as badminton president, I also realise that the expectations are much higher this time.
“I just pray for God’s strength and wisdom for us to do what we need to do for badminton to grow better and move further,” Orbih projected.
