Folarin Balogun Keeps On Scoring For Monaco In French Ligue 1

Sports247 reports that Balogun’s fourth goal in seven games played a key role in helping Monaco stay within the top-10 bracket of the league, while the Nigerian-born hitman continued his excellent impact in 2026.

Balogun put the hosts in the lead in the 57th minute with a lot of luck on his side, as his header connected sharply to a cross and the ball bounced on the back of an opponent then to his leg before crossing the goal line.

The former Arsenal of England youngster’s goal gave Monaco extra vista, following which they dominated play and deservedly doubled their lead in the 62nd when Ivory Coast winger, Simon Adingra slotted home from outside the box.

At the end of the day, Balogun’s side pulled off a third straight win in Ligue 1 and moved up to seventh position on the log, while 12th-placed Angers dropped eight points behind The Aristocrats.

It also marked a continuation of the turnaround of fortunes that the Nigerian-born Canada international has enjoyed since making the move from England to France in search of better playing opportunities.
