Nigeria secured a 3-1 aggregate victory in the previous round to book a place in the decisive stage, where they will face Malawi for a ticket to the global tournament. But Aduku insists past achievements will count for nothing if his side fails to finish the job.

“We are already studying our next opponent. Everyone in the technical team is on the same page,” Aduku said.

The coach emphasized that preparation has shifted immediately from celebration to strategy, noting that qualifying for the tournament remains the only objective.

“Everything we have achieved so far will not matter if we don’t secure the ticket,” he stressed. “This is the most important hurdle.”

Aduku acknowledged the weight of expectation that comes with coaching one of Africa’s most successful youth teams but welcomed the pressure.

“Pressure is part of representing Nigeria. We accept it, and we are ready to make the nation proud,” he added.

He further explained that modern football demands thorough preparation, including tactical reviews, opponent analysis, and mental conditioning.

“We are looking at their strengths, their weaknesses, and how they approach games. There will be no surprises,” he noted.

The Falconets have historically been strong contenders on the global stage, and Aduku believes the current squad has the character to continue that tradition.

“The players understand what is at stake. They are focused and determined,” he said.

With the Malawi clash looming, the Falconets camp remains firmly locked in on one mission.

“Qualification is non-negotiable. We must complete what we started,” Aduku concluded.
