Anderline Mgbechi (Rivers Angels)
Rivers Angels goalkeeper Anderline Mgbechi is a former Nigeria U-20 international and one of the most consistent shot-stoppers in the NWFL.
She was instrumental in Delta Queens’ historic 2022/2023 NWFL title triumph, where the team went unbeaten and conceded just twice throughout the campaign.
Now with Rivers Angels, Mgbechi has started six NWFL matches for the Jewels of Rivers this season, suffering just one defeat in her six appearances.
Fatima Oloko (Abia Angels)
Abia Angels goalkeeper Fatima Oloko is also a former Nigeria U-20 international.
She has started five NWFL matches this season, keeping four clean sheets, a run of form that earned her a call-up from head coach Justine Madugu. Oloko has also received one Team of the Week nomination in the current campaign.
The young goalkeeper was part of the Rivers Angels squad that won the President Federation Cup last season, further highlighting her pedigree at the domestic level.
Shakirat Isah (Nasarawa Amazons)
Midfielder Shakirat Isah represents Nasarawa Amazons, where she plays a key role in the team’s impressive performances.
She was part of the Nasarawa Amazons squad that finished as runners-up in both the NWFL and the President Federation Cup last season. Isah was also a member of Nigeria’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2024-winning squad in Morocco.
This season, Nasarawa Amazons have suffered just one defeat, with Isah forming an integral part of the team’s strong run of results.
The inclusion of the trio reflects strong representation from NWFL ambassadors in the Super Falcons setup and highlights the league’s growing importance as a pathway to the national team.
