Nigerian-born attacker, Daniel Oyetunde has come out to boldly explain why he left Arsenal of England for a deal at Fort Wayne FC in USA’s second-tier league.
Sports247 reports that, while many analysts believe the lad has taken a step backwards in his career, Oyetunde insists it is the best move for his development as an ambitious footballer.

The 19-year-old forward added that he has no misgivings leaving The Gunners in a permanent transfer and agreeing to play for a club in the lower cadre United States League (USL),
Oyetunde, who earlier spent the first half of this season on-loan at St Albans, reckoned further that he needed a change of scene, having played through the various youth levels at Arsenal.
He pointed out: “I’d been at Arsenal for the past five years and played throughout the age groups there from under-15 to under-21.
“I’ve chosen Fort Wayne, because I believe it’s the right next step for my career; as it’s men’s football in a good league. This new project is exciting, and I can’t wait to get started.”
