A 2-2 draw away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night not only spelt a major setback for Arsenal in their aspirations for the English Premier League title, there was also the case of another injury blow for Bukayo Saka.

Sports247 reports that Arsenal’s Nigerian-born star made hay with the game’s first goal at Molineux Stadium, but he was forced off with a relapse at the start of the second half and The Gunners imploded.

With Saka forced off, Arsenal barely held their own and gave away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against their relegation haunted hosts, leaving Gunners’ gaffer, Mikel Arteta with more to worry about.

Arteta will now have to come up with some effective adjustments, as the 24-year-old Saka, who has not played 90 minutes for almost a month amid a struggle for full fitness, limped off a few days after recovering from a hip injury.

UK’s The Sun newspaper added, “(Saka) managed a brief cameo against Brentford last week, and then a half against Wigan in the FA Cup on Sunday.

“With Martin Odegaard injured, Ethan Nwaneri out on loan and Eberechi Eze out of favour, manager Mikel Arteta called on right-winger Saka to deputise in attacking midfield against relegation-bound Wolves.

“He opened the scoring with a header through the legs of Jose Sa inside five minutes, but his night would take a frustrating turn after the break.”
