Manager of German Bundesliga side FC Augsburg, Michael Baum, has expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of Nigerian youngster Ogundu following his recent arrival at the club.

The highly-rated prospect joined the Bundesliga outfit as part of the club’s long-term development plan and has been settling into life in Germany both on and off the pitch.

Speaking on the player’s adaptation, Baum revealed that Ogundu has already taken proactive steps to integrate into his new environment.

“Ogundu has already had several German lessons, greets me with ‘Servus’ and is very well integrated,” the Augsburg boss said, underscoring the youngster’s commitment to embracing the culture.

Beyond off-field adjustment, Baum highlighted the Nigerian’s physical attributes as key strengths observed in training sessions.

“In training, you can see his strength and his pace. But we have to wait for the right moment to introduce young players,” he added.

The manager’s remarks indicate a measured approach to the player’s development, with the club prioritising gradual integration over immediate competitive exposure in the Bundesliga.

As Augsburg navigate the remainder of the German top-flight campaign, attention will remain on Ogundu’s progress, with hopes that his promising adaptation will soon translate into opportunities at senior level.
