Onyedika Stars as Club Brugge Claim Away Derby Win Over Cercle Brugge

Raphael Onyedika delivered a composed midfield performance to help Club Brugge secure a hard-fought away derby victory over city rivals Cercle Brugge.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Kyriani Sabbe turned provider for Nicolò Tresoldi, who finished clinically to put Club Brugge ahead.

Just two minutes later, Club Brugge doubled their advantage as Mamadou Diakhon set up Carlos Forbs to make it 2–0 and put the visitors in control of the derby.

Cercle Brugge pulled one back in the 72nd minute through Flávio Nazinho, with the assist provided by Steve Ngoura. The goal set up a nervy finish, but Club Brugge held their nerve to see out the win.

Onyedika’s energy and positional discipline in midfield were key to controlling the tempo and breaking up play, helping Club Brugge navigate the derby pressure and come away with three valuable points.
