The emphatic 4–2 victory over newly promoted Warri Wolves on Sunday completed a dominant double for Shooting Stars this season, having also beaten the Seasiders 2–1 away earlier in the campaign.
Midfielder Ayobami Junior was the standout performer, delivering a sensational three assists—a rare feat in the league.
He became the first player to register three assists in a single NPFL match since Abdulrasheed Dabai achieved the same for Niger Tornadoes against Plateau United on Matchday 9.
