Nwabali, who spent four years with the club, said the decision was taken in mutual understanding and with his long-term future in mind.

“It was not an easy decision after spending four years at Chippa United,” Nwabali said. “But it was an important one for my career and my future. The relationship with the club remains good, and it was an agreement between both parties.”

The goalkeeper, who has grown into a key figure for the Super Eagles in recent years, revealed he is open to new opportunities as he looks to challenge himself at a higher level.

“I am open to joining any club, whether in South Africa or elsewhere in Africa and beyond,” he added. “I am ambitious and I want to win something in my career.”

Nwabali’s departure has sparked discussions among fans and analysts, especially given his importance to the national team.

However, the goalkeeper remains optimistic as he weighs his next move, confident that the decision will ultimately benefit both his club and international career.
