The 29-year-old is currently without a club following his exit from the South African side and has made it clear that patience will guide his decision-making as he weighs his options.

Speaking on Sports Nights Amplified with Andile Ncube, the former Katsina United shot-stopper said selecting the right project matters more to him than securing a quick transfer.

“There’s no limitation for me,” Nwabali said. “I am open to any club, whether local or international.”

Since becoming a free agent, the Nigerian international has been linked with several clubs across different leagues, including South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, Morocco’s Raja Club Athletic, Saudi outfit Al-Ettifaq and English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

However, Nwabali revealed that the reported interest has not translated into concrete negotiations, stressing that no official approach has been made.

“So far, there have been no calls,” he added. “The only people calling are family and friends who are surprised by the situation.”

After his standout performances for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, Nwabali remains focused on staying in top shape while calmly assessing his next step, with future Super Eagles duties also firmly in view.
