Competing at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium, the Nigerian cross-country skier posted a time of 3:33.31 in his first competitive appearance at the Games.

Ikpefan is the only Nigerian athlete at the 2026 Winter Olympics, lining up against a highly competitive field dominated by athletes from established winter sports nations.

Although he did not progress to the next round, his participation underscores Nigeria’s expanding footprint in winter sports at the global level.

The 27-year-old is set to return to action on Friday, February 13, when he contests the Men’s 10km Interval Start Freestyle event.

Comprehensive results and updates from the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics are available on the official Games results platform.
