According to a player who pleaded anonymity, they are finding it very hard to eat as the club and the Osun State Government have turned the players into beggars on the street just to have something to eat.
She said a paltry sum of only sixty thousand naira, which came in January 2026 have been received by some players since joining the club at the start of the season.
“We are suffering in Osun Babes, the club and the Osun State Government have left us and dragged us into poverty. We have been reduced to beggars on the street; even fans are tired of our constant begging from them.
“The only thing we have received from the club is just sixty thousand naira, how do the club want us to survive during this harsh economic situation. This is really unfair.”
“We have a huge debt, and we won’t be cornered with the cunning money that was sent to our account, which is not enough to pay our huge debt.
“The management promised good salary in the month of January going but to our surprise 60 thousand naira was given to some players only.”
“Our salary payment is prompt in our various teams before we’re recruited to this team with mind of better life as footballers, but the reverse is the case.”
