In a goodwill message released on Thursday, the DG NSC noted that adding another year goes beyond the celebration of age, but represents a season of maturity, responsibility and measurable impact — qualities he said Dayo Israel has consistently demonstrated in his leadership journey.
“Tiday, Hon. Dayo Israel stands at the intersection of youthful energy and seasoned leadership. His journey reflects clarity of purpose, resilience and an unwavering belief in the power of young Nigerians to drive national development,” Olopade said.
The NSC boss praised Israel’s strong advocacy for youth inclusion, leadership development and sports as a unifying national tool, noting that his influence transcends partisan politics and resonates across governance, social development and grassroots engagement.
According to Olopade, Dayo Israel has remained a visible and consistent voice in expanding opportunities for young people, particularly through initiatives that promote sports development, entrepreneurship and civic participation — all of which align with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the NSC’s vision of building sports as a viable national industry.
“Reaching this age is a reminder that leadership is no longer about promise alone, but about results.
Hon. Dayo Israel has shown that age is not a limitation, but a responsibility to lead with integrity, vision and compassion,” the DG added.
He further described the APC Youth Leader as a bridge between generations — a leader who understands the aspirations of Nigeria’s youth while effectively engaging institutions to convert those aspirations into policies, platforms and opportunities.
As tributes continue to pour in from across Nigeria’s political, youth and sports communities, the DG NSC expressed confidence that Dayo Israel’s most impactful years of service still lie ahead.
“At 40, his story is still unfolding. For many young Nigerians, he represents proof that discipline, commitment and belief in country can translate into lasting national impact,” Olopade concluded.
Observers note that the milestone celebration not only marks a personal achievement for Hon. Dayo Israel, but also underscores the growing influence of purposeful youth leadership in Nigeria’s democratic and developmental journey.
