Sports247 reports that the coach’s superlatives came in a spray of accolades that heralded the arrival of 20-year-old Ojinnaka on loan at The Shrews for rest of the season in England’s League Two.
Ojinnaka becomes Shrewsbury’s sixth new acquisition in the January window and Appleton noted that the tall lad, who has a height of six feet two inches, can play as a midfielder, central defender or full-back.
With Ojinnaka now expected to add his versatility to the side that is currently 20th on the League Two table, Appleton served a strong hint that he could give his new star a role in this weekend’s clash with MK Dons.
Appleton told The Shrews’ website, “Temple is somebody I have been aware of for a while. He caught my eye in a game I watched earlier this season. He likes a tackle and he is a big presence.
“He played in midfield that day. We kept an eye on him. We knew there was a possibility of getting him in for a few days, which we did. We then very quickly got to an agreement. We are delighted to have him on board.”
