Nigerian-born basketball star, Giannis Antetokounmpo has picked flaws in the form of his team, Milwaukee Bucks of USA, with a verdict that they are not ‘playing to win,’ Sports247 reports.

Antetokounmpo, whose original surname was ‘Adetokunbo,’ until he opted to represent Greece at international level, further opined that selfish play has contributed to The Bucks’ poor form.
With the former National Basketball Association (NBA) champions floundering in recent games across God’s Own Country, ‘The Greek Freak’ added that it might be time for him to demand more from his teammates.
His harsh comments come after The Bucks suffered a 122-102 loss to Oklahoma City Thunder, despite the NBA’s current champions missing many of their key players, who were out with various injuries.
Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, Aaron Wiggins and Jaylin Williams were all absent for Oklahoma; but The Thunder still soared to victory on 40 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
At the other end, Antetokounmpo had 19 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists for Milwaukee, who have now lost four of their last five games – after winning three of the previous four.
Much to his dismay, The Bucks’ last three losses have all come by a margin of at least 18 points, as they also went down 139-106 to Minnesota Timberwolves and 119-101 to San Antonio Spurs.
Antetokounmpo conceded, “We’re not playing hard. We aren’t doing the right thing. We’re not playing to win (and) we’re not playing together.
“Our chemistry’s not there. Guys are being selfish, trying to look for their own shots instead of looking for the right shot for the team. Guys are trying to do it on their own.
“At times, I feel likely when we’re down 10, down 15, down 20, we try to make it up in one play, and it’s not going to work.”
