Israel Adesanya Ready For March 28th Return, Declares: Here We Go Again

Nigerian-born two-time former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya (The Last Style Bender) has stated his readiness to step back into The Octagon for his next bout on March 28th, though it will come more than a year after his last fight.

Sports247 reports that Adesanya’s next bout is meant to be a revival for him, as he last got into the spotlight in February 2025, but the winner of 24 fights, who contests under the flag of New Zealand, said he is ready to go.

Though the former champion, who lost his last three bouts, also hinted in a catchy social media post ahead of the fight date that it means tough days ahead of him, Adesanya added that he is ready to take up the challenge.

His post came after UFC chief executive, Dana White, on Tuesday night, announced Adesanya’s impending return, with confirmation that the Nigerian-born Kiwi will feature in the main event of UFC Seattle.

Adesanya will hope to regain winning ways against fast-rising contender, Joe Pyfer in a middleweight contest, which comes after the former champ was knocked out by Nassourdine Imavov during a bout in Saudi Arabia.

In heralding his spirited return, the 36-year-old Adesanya shared a promotional video for the fight on his Instagram and X accounts, with an accompanying caption that stated: “Aaaah s**t…here we go again!”
