Nigeria’s former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title holder, Israel Adesanya (The Last Style Bender), who features under New Zealand’s flag, will get a chance to revive his career when he returns to The Octagon on March 28th.
Sports247 gathered that the former two-time middleweight champion, who has lost his last three fights and five overall, will headline UFC Seattle in Climate Pledge Arena on a bill that puts him against Joe Pyfer (15-3).

It represents another opportunity to regain lost glory for Adesanya, who has won 24 fights in a once-booming career, and received glowing words from UFC chief executive, Dana White during a media briefing on Tuesday.
A report by Sports Yahoo noted in part: “Adesanya has fallen on a downward slide of late, losing his past three bouts since he last held gold.
“The longtime middleweight king reigned over the division for years with a precision-striking style that reshaped the weight class, compiling multiple title defenses and signature knockouts.
“A main event against a global star like Adesanya fast-tracks (Pyfer) into the title conversation after three straight wins. If Pyfer can deliver the upset, it could instantly alter the middleweight championship picture.”
