A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Lumumba Dah Adeh has opined that the biggest asset propelling the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is the absence of distractions in the team’s camp.
Hon Adeh, who previously represented Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency and later rose to the position of presidential adviser, made his views known during an exclusive interview with Sports247 in Fes, Morocco.

He recalled his glorious days as the proprietor of JC Raiders FC of Jos and former candidate for the post of president in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), then vowed that he will not end his passion for the round leather game.
The former governorship aspirant in Plateau State added, “Football is a natural passion for me and, as a Nigerian patriot, I can never stop supporting the Super Eagles. As a matter of fact, so far, I’m impressed with their results in Morocco.
“I’m impressed with the performances and consistency of the team so far at AFCON 2025. I’ve not been practically close to the players but, from what I see in their displays, especially in their last match, I am impressed.”
The football zealot noted that adequate backing of the Eagles by the NFF has encouraged the players and gives him more confidence for better results ahead of the team, especially on Monday, when they face Mozambique in the round of 16 at Complexe Sportif de Fès.
He retorted, “I’m impressed with the spirit of the team. I must say that a lot of things are going well with them, particularly with the aspect of administration.
“I don’t think there are distractions like we used to have. I believe that, in itself, is enough motivation to take us further in this competition.”
The amiable administrator, however, concluded with a call for more ideas and efforts that would boost the further progress of football generally in Nigeria, beyond just seeing the Super Eagles excel in matches.
Adeh submitted enthusiastically, “For the growth of football generally, there’s still much to be achieved and and a lot more to be desired.
“However, I believe that, given the opportunity, Nigerian football can grow further and take its rightful place in the world map of the game.”
