Bendel Insurance secured a hard-earned 3–2 victory over Remo Stars in an action-packed Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 18 fixture at the MKO Sports Complex, Abeokuta.

The visitors made a strong start and took the lead in the 13th minute through Wisdom Udom, who finished calmly to put Bendel Insurance ahead.
Their dominance continued, and in the 26th minute, Chinedu Nwosu doubled the advantage with a well-taken goal, leaving the home side with plenty to do.
Remo Stars responded swiftly, pulling one back just two minutes later as Adeleke Adeleye found the net in the 28th minute to reduce the deficit and swing momentum back towards the hosts.
However, Bendel Insurance restored their two-goal cushion before halftime, scoring again in the 40th minute to head into the break with a 3–1 lead.
The second half saw Remo Stars raise the tempo in search of a comeback, and the hosts managed to score again to make it 3–2, setting up a tense finale.
The equaliser nearly arrived in the 66th minute when Ahmed Akinyele struck the woodwork in a dramatic moment that left the home fans holding their breath.
Bendel Insurance showed composure in the closing stages, making a late tactical change in the 83rd minute as Adama Goita replaced Chaka Colibaly to help see out the game.
Despite sustained pressure from Remo Stars, Bendel Insurance held firm to claim all three points in Abeokuta, sealing an important away win in a thrilling NPFL Matchday 18 contest.
