According to CAF, the eventual champions of the tournament will be awarded 50 gold medals in celebration of their title-winning achievement. The runners-up will also receive 50 silver medals, marking their place as finalists in the competition.

CAF further disclosed that the team finishing in third place will be presented with 50 bronze medals, recognizing their strong performance and podium finish at the tournament.
In contrast, the team that ends the competition in fourth position will not receive medals. Instead, CAF stated that the side will be honoured with 50 certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their progress to the latter stages of the championship.
The announcement reinforces CAF’s long-standing tradition of formally recognising teams that advance deep into the tournament, ensuring that outstanding performances at AFCON are duly acknowledged beyond the champions alone.
AFCON remains Africa’s flagship football event, drawing global attention and celebrating excellence, competitiveness and national pride across the continent.
