The final, played under an intense atmosphere, started at a fast pace and it was Golden Dollar who struck first. Just three minutes into the contest, Iwunze Anthony found the breakthrough to give his side an early advantage and set the tone for a fiercely contested encounter.
Might Blaster responded strongly in the second half and were rewarded in the 51st minute when Kayode Ifemose calmly converted from the penalty spot to restore parity.
