Majekodunmi delivered one of the standout performances of the day in the Girls’ 400m, powering to 55.96s to finish as the overall fastest qualifier heading into the final.

The smooth-striding quarter-miler looked composed and confident throughout her race, sending a strong message to her continental rivals as she sets her sights on the podium.

In the Boys’ category, Udoh showcased equal dominance, blazing through his heat in 48.44s, the quickest time across all heats.

His performance not only secured his place in the final but also positioned him as one of the favourites for the title.

Team Nigeria will now look to build on the momentum as both athletes aim to convert their heat victories into medal-winning performances.
