While several boxing gurus and practitioners are critical of the fight, which they believe is a mismatch, ‘AJ’ will be glad to hear that another former world champion, Deontay Wilder of America supports his venture.

However, in lending words of support to the forthcoming fight in Miami, USA, Wilder is not seeing it from the point of a competitive bout, rather he sees it in terms of the social media content it provides.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ admitted that Paul would surely be no match for Joshua in terms of boxing experience and ratings, but pointed out that sports stars also have to keep pace with the craze for online content in the technology-driven world.

Wilder told The Action Network: “If people want to see things and they’re willing to pay the money to see it, then hey, why not?

“These are the times and the generation that we’re living in. Of course, you got these guys coming in, and they do a hell of a job of marketing themselves, bringing fights.

“It draws attention. If you can build a system where you can fight anybody and hype it up to make it where people buy it, then there you go.”
