Arsenal youngster, Ethan Nwaneri, has received a charge to get back into reckoning with The Gunners, the same way Brazilian protégé, Gabriel Martinelli, has regained his footing at the London-based English Premier League outfit.

Sports247 gathered that the nudge for a revival was given to Nwaneri after Martinelli got another goal in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, and became the first Arsenal player ever to hit the bullseye in five straight matches of the elite clubs’ competition.
In the wake of Martinelli’s feat, Nwaneri has received a wake-up call from a reporter with the British tabloid, Daily Mail, Isaan Khan, who believes the Nigerian-born lad can still bounce back if he works harder.
He recalled how Nwaneri stole the show and hogged all headlines towards the end of last season and earlier this term in the UCL campaign, which Khan acknowledged as confirmation of the lad’s talent.
However, the erudite writer noted that Nwaneri has been on a downward swing of recent, but urged the youngster to learn from the revival of Martinelli and regain his spot in Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta’s roster.
Khan wrote in part: “The 18-year-old signed a five-year contract in August, with the north London club eager to tie down one of their most-promising starlets from the Hale End academy.
“Last season, the attacker made his first Premier League and Champions League starts, shone in the Carabao Cup, while scoring across all three competitions.
“He won man of the match in January against Girona for good measure, capping his first European start with an impressive finish from outside the area.
“Yet, 12 months on, Nwaneri is struggling to make the starting line-up, even in games such as this where Arteta made five changes from the side that lost to Aston Villa on Saturday.
“Taking a page out of Martinelli’s book, though, can do Nwaneri no harm. He’s only 18, and time is on his side.”
