In what was one of the most anticipated races of the meet, Obashola showed remarkable control and power from the blocks. As the field tightened in the final metres, he maintained his composure and executed a decisive dip at the line to clinch gold ahead of a strong field.
His closest challenger, Salami Oseiwe, ran 10.54s to secure the silver medal, while Akhalu David completed the podium with a well-earned 10.58s for bronze.
