Kwara United head coach, Ashifat Suleiman, cut a frustrated figure on Sunday after watching his side fall 3–2 to Barau Football Club in a pulsating encounter.
Despite a spirited performance, the Harmony Boys failed to make their dominance count — a situation the coach admitted proved costly.

“We were punished for not taking our chances,” Suleiman said in his post-match reaction, stressing that the team created enough opportunities to earn a better result.
Kwara United started brightly and controlled large spells of the game, but poor finishing and lapses in concentration allowed Barau FC to snatch the maximum points.
Suleiman, while disappointed, maintained that the defeat offered important lessons going forward, particularly in sharpening the team’s efficiency in the final third.
The coach also assured fans that the technical crew will address the shortcomings ahead of the next fixture as Kwara United aim to bounce back strongly from the setback.
