Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will fly out to Germany on Saturday to begin final preparations for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland set to begin on 23rd May, 2019.
The Flying Eagles who finished fourth at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger early this year, had their final training at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja on Friday morning.
The players and their officials will travel to Germany aboard Lufthansa Airline on Saturday night.
The Head Coach, Paul Aigbogun will release a list of the players travelling before departure, with Captain Ikouwen Udoh, as well as Valentine Ozornwafor, Igor Ogbu, Adamu Alhassan, Yahaya Nazifi and a host of other regulars expected to be named in the squad.
Nigeria, who have lost in the final on two occasions – in 1989 and 2005 will be looking for even more success as they go into the tournament.
Aigbogun’s men will begin their campaign against Qatar on May 24th, before confronting United States and Ukraine on May 27 and 30.
