The returnee technical adviser of Barau FC, Isah Ladan Bosso has admitted he felt a bolt of relief after his team pulled off a 1-1 draw away to Katsina United on Saturday evening in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
Sports247 gathered that anxiety hit the visiting squad late in the game, when chaotic scenes erupted in the stands, and Bosso noted that it caused distractions for his players.

The former Flying Eagles’ tactician then scolded his players for allowing the hosts score, but admitted they did a great job, considering what he referred to as an atmosphere of insecurity in which the game ended.
Bosso pointed out, “We perceived it coming, and now that it has happened, the management will work with the technical crew to see what we can do about it. They know what to do within the ethics of the game.”
He then took a look at the high level of tension that was generated by some of the spectators, then blamed the host team’s officials for not taking preemptive steps, as Barau usually do for their home matches.
Bosso added, “As for the fans, some of them have their personal target points.
Such targets depend on the individual faces and some of them can be hostile. Some can also be destructive.
“With what has happened, we can only tell our boys to avoid distractions like the one that gave our opponents their goal.
“We have to be perfect on the field of play, but injuries can happen, and some plans do change. Those are hazards of the profession.
“We have seen their action from management and the coaches here in Katsina, but I believe we gave them good security when they came to Kano.
“What we are seeing here is different and, because of insecurity, we even have to do the post-match press conference outside on the open field.”
The well-travelled tactician concluded by picking positives from the result, as his team that is placed 18th on the NPFL’s log was able to pull off a draw away to their hosts, who are seventh on the league table.
“For you to pick an away point is not easy, but it was a match in which we were frustrated, and we saw the rough side of the league.
But, with the scenario that unfolded here, getting an away point was not a bad one,” Bosso stated emphatically.
