At just 13, Dafe Rhema already carries the fire of a champion, she wants to conquer the Taekwondo, not only in Nigeria but the world.
Every kick, every punch, and every disciplined bow tells the story of a young girl who dreams of etching her name in Nigerian sports history — to become Nigeria’s first world champion in Taekwondo.

Born with a spirit that refuses to settle for ordinary, Rhema trains at the Voltaj Heritage School Taekwondo Club, a place that has become her second home.
Her dedication shines every time she steps onto the mat — calm yet fierce, small yet mighty, focused yet fearless.
Her journey so far reads like the opening chapters of a great sporting tale.
She has competed at the Honeyland Under-18 Kiddies Festival four times — and each time, she struck gold.
Not once has she returned home without standing at the top of the podium, her medals glinting like proof of destiny in motion.

When she moved up in class to the Under-17 Lycée Français Louis Pasteur National Taekwondo Championship, hosted by Body Dynamics, Rhema faced older, stronger opponents — yet still battled her way to a silver medal in the cadet category.
It was a test of courage and composure, and she passed with flying colours.
Her talent has not gone unnoticed. In 2025, she proudly represented Lagos State at the National Youth Games in Asaba, standing shoulder to shoulder with Nigeria’s brightest young athletes.
Now, all eyes turn to her next challenge — the Under-18 Kiddies Championship Festival, coming up on November 15, 2025, at the Surulere Stadium.
There, Rhema will compete in both Kyorugi and Mixed Gender Fight, determined once again to rise above the competition.
For Dafe Rhema, the journey has only just begun. Her kicks are sharper, her focus deeper, and her dream clearer when asked:
“To fly Nigeria’s flag high on the world stage and become the nation’s first-ever Taekwondo world champion.”
And if her story so far is anything to go by, that dream may not be far away.
