Judith Chime Queens Shine as 10th PROFEMATEUR 7 Women’s Football Tournament Kicks Off in Style

The 10th edition of the PROFEMATEUR 7 National Women’s Football Competition commenced in grand fashion on Sunday, October 26, 2025, heralding a decade of dedication to nurturing and celebrating Nigerian women’s football.

Organized by Royaltoms International Football Academy, the annual tournament—founded by football enthusiast Olajide Royal—has grown into one of the country’s most reputable grassroots platforms for discovering and celebrating female football talent, while also honoring past and present Super Falcons stars.

This landmark edition promises to be particularly memorable, with organizers ensuring improved facilities, quality officiating, and a festive atmosphere that reflects the event’s 10-year journey.

In the opening fixtures, Judith Chime Queens made a perfect start, defeating Onosky Angels—led by former Super Falcons captain Onome Eni—by a narrow 1–0 margin. The decisive goal came from Owoyele Idera, who showcased composure to secure all three points for her side.

Reacting to the victory, former Super Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime, after whom the team is named, praised the players’ determination and promised an additional reward if they clinch the title.

“I’m very proud of the girls. If they go all the way to win the 10th edition of PROFEMATEUR 7, there’s a special financial reward waiting for them from my personal pocket,” she assured.

Other results from the opening day saw Kolawole Queens edge Ann Chinyere Angels 1–0, while two fixtures ended in stalemates: Joy Etim Queens played out a goalless draw against Henrietta Ukaigwe Queens, and Sewa Bello Queens held Linda Chukwuji Queens to another 0–0 result.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Olajide Royal, President of Royaltoms International Football Academy, reaffirmed his vision for continuous investment in the women’s game.

“This 10th edition will be exceptional. We’ve worked hard to ensure the players enjoy the best of facilities and the right atmosphere to express their passion and talent,” Royal said.

With the competition now underway, fans and scouts alike are anticipating a thrilling display of skill, resilience, and sportsmanship as teams battle for top honors in what is already shaping up to be the most exciting edition yet of the PROFEMATEUR 7 National Women’s Football Competition.
