Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has expressed delight after helping her club, AFC Toronto, win the inaugural Supporters’ Shield Trophy, capping off what she described as one of the most fulfilling seasons of her career.
The Nigerian international, who has been in fine form for both club and country, provided a crucial assist in the final as AFC Toronto sealed the title following a dominant campaign in the North American league.

Speaking after the match, Okoronkwo said the achievement was a result of months of discipline and collective effort. “It feels incredible to win this trophy,” she said.
