Enyimba Management Dismisses Rift Rumours, Reaffirms Unity and Focus on Glory

The management of Enyimba International Football Club has firmly dismissed reports suggesting internal divisions within the team, insisting that the club remains united, focused, and fully committed to achieving success under the leadership of Chairman Nwankwo Kanu (Papilo).

Speaking through the club’s Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Enyimba described the circulating stories of internal rifts as “baseless and malicious,” reaffirming that the management, technical crew, and players are working harmoniously towards restoring the club’s legendary status in Nigerian football.

“Our focus remains intact, and we are resolute in our pursuit of excellence,” Ekwueme stated. “We are aware of the efforts of our detractors, but we remain unshaken and focused on our objectives.”

He lauded Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for his steadfast support and recent donation of a Coaster Bus and Hummer Bus to the team — gestures he said have lifted morale and reinforced the players’ sense of purpose.

“The players and officials are happy, and everyone can see the reflection of their commitment on the pitch,” Ekwueme added.

The Sporting Director urged critics to set aside distractions and rally behind the club, stressing that Enyimba’s foundation is built on unity, professionalism, and the pursuit of greatness.

“We are committed to upholding the high standards of our team and ensuring a successful season,” he affirmed.

Enyimba’s impressive unbeaten start to the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season has underscored their renewed sense of purpose and collective drive.

With stability in management, support from the Abia State government, and strong performances on the field, the People’s Elephant appear firmly on course to reclaim their position as Nigeria’s most formidable football powerhouse — silencing critics the best way they know how: by winning.
