Miguel Gamondi to Stay at Singida Black Stars Amid Simba Club Speculation

Dar es Salaam – Miguel Gamondi will remain as head coach of Singida Black Stars, the club has confirmed, following speculation linking him with a move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

The decision to retain Gamondi came directly from the club’s leadership, with the Minister and club chairman insisting that the Argentine tactician must continue leading the team’s ambitious project. Gamondi has expressed appreciation and respect toward Simba SC but remains fully committed to Singida Black Stars’ objectives.

“I am honored to continue with Singida. We have important targets this season, including a strong showing in the CAF Confederation Cup and a push for the league title,” Gamondi said.

Simba SC, meanwhile, have reportedly made no official contact with Gamondi in the past two days. The club is said to be working quietly behind the scenes to secure a replacement for Fadlu Davids, who recently left for Raja Casablanca. Sources indicate that Simba SC plans to announce their new head coach later this week, with players already informed of the impending appointment.

Gamondi’s commitment provides stability for Singida Black Stars, who are preparing for key domestic and continental fixtures. His continued presence is expected to bolster the team’s morale as they aim to challenge for the Tanzanian Premier League title and progress in the CAF Confederation Cup.

With the coaching situation clarified, both Singida Black Stars and Simba SC supporters now await a competitive second half of the season, with Gamondi’s Singida focusing on delivering results on both local and continental fronts.
