Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles’ coach, Aliyu Zubairu has set plans in motion towards snatching victories over Norway, Saudi Arabia and Colombia in the group stage of this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.
Sports247 reports that Zubairu’s side will tackle Norway on September 29th, Saudi Arabia, on October 2nd and Colombia on October 5th, with all the games taking place at Estadio Fiscal in Talca.

Ahead of the forthcoming encounters, Zubairu said before the delegation of 20 players and 11 officials flew out of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday evening that he already has background ideas on how to beat all three group opponents.
He, however, admitted that he and his assistants in the technical crew still have to come up with specific strategies for each of their group rivals in order to defeat them one after the other and qualify for the knock-out stage.
The former El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri handler disclosed, “We have to think about different tactics for our three group opponents. We have Saudi Arabia, Norway, and Colombia in our group.
“The first thing now is to try and get the tapes of their recent matches so that we can plan how to beat them. We will then try to get one of the tickets out of the group and, after that, we’ll focus on the next round.”
As the team settles down in Santiago for a 12-day final pre-competition camping, Zubairu will be eager to see the arrival of Daniel Daga from his base in Norway, as he could not be part of the delegation that left Abuja on Sunday.
Zubairu will count on Daga, who plays for FF Molde, and fellow-Norway-based lad, Kparobo Arierhi from Lillestrom SK to provide him with tips on how to beat the Scandinavian country in Nigeria’s opening game come Monday after next.
