Remo Stars, who played out a 1-1 draw with Rivers United in Abeokuta on Matchday One, responded well.
They pushed forward with intensity, and their persistence paid off as they leveled before the break through a well-worked move finished clinically.
In the second half, the visitors grew stronger. Their attacking pressure unsettled Kun Khalifat’s defense, and a decisive strike sealed all three points, handing the Sky Blue Stars a valuable away win.
With four points from two matches, Remo Stars now sit in a strong position heading into next weekend’s fixture against early table toppers, Warri Wolves, in Abeokuta.
The clash promises to be an exciting contest, with both teams eager to extend their good starts to the campaign.
Meanwhile, Kun Khalifat must regroup quickly. With just one point from two matches, as they travel to Ilorin this weekend to face Kwara United who are also desperate to secure win of the season.
The new boys risk sliding into early relegation trouble if they fail to steady their form.
The NPFL season has only just begun, but Remo Stars have shown resilience and intent, setting the tone for a promising campaign.
