National Youth Games, Lagos Contingent Departs for 2025 Zonal Elimination Ball Games in Ibadan

As part of the preparations for the 2025 National Youth Games, the Lagos State Contingent, comprising 216 athletes and 30 technical officials, has departed Lagos to Ibadan, Oyo State, for the 2025 Zonal Eliminations Ball Games.

Abula, basketball, Baseball/Softball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, rugby, volleyball, and beach volleyball are sports on parade as the state prepares to slug it out with other states in the Southwest region in different designated venues.

With remarkable records at the zonal ball games, Lagos boasts of talented athletes across the disciplines, as this year’s regional qualifiers returned to Ibadan, it will be another successful outing for the unfazed and energetic youngsters.

Lagos, a pacesetter in sports and youth development, has created an enabling environment for the athletes to continue honing their skills through structured training camps.

Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo will face off against each other for slots in nine sports in the City of Ibadan ahead of the games proper, scheduled to take place from 26th August to 6th September in Asaba, Delta State.
