“I Said I’d Start and Score” – Tijani Mohammed Nets Debut Winner For Sigma Olomouc

Former Nigeria U20 striker Tijani Mohammed scored on his debut for SK Sigma Olomouc less than five days after signing with the Czech club. Tijani came off the bench in the 62nd minute and scored just three minutes later to help Sigma secure a 2–1 win over Slovan Liberec in the Czech Chance Liga.

The 22-year-old forward joined Sigma on a season-long loan from Slavia Prague and made an immediate impact at Andrův Stadion. His goal proved decisive and earned him the Man of the Match award, as he topped the match ratings on his first appearance.

Speaking after the match, Tijani said, “I told my teammates that I would come on and score—so I did.”

Sigma head coach Tomáš Janotka praised the striker’s performance, calling his finish “perfect and decisive,” while sporting director Ladislav Minář confirmed that the club had been tracking Tijani for some time before finalizing the move.

Tijani is expected to play a key role for Sigma Olomouc this season as they aim for a strong campaign in the Czech second division and look toward potential promotion and European qualification.
