Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the transformation of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), assuring the club’s management of his administration’s continued backing.
The Governor gave the assurance on Wednesday when he received the Chairman and select members of the 3SC backroom staff during a courtesy visit at the Government House.

Makinde, a passionate sports enthusiast, praised the ongoing restructuring efforts within the historic Ibadan-based football club and expressed confidence in the leadership’s vision to return the team to its former glory.
“I remain fully committed to the progress of 3SC. The steps being taken to reposition the club are encouraging, and I believe they will yield positive results,” the Governor stated.
The 3SC Chairman appreciated Governor Makinde for his sustained interest in the club’s affairs, especially for prioritizing infrastructure development and player welfare in recent years.
The visit comes at a crucial time as 3SC intensifies preparations for the upcoming football season, with renewed hopes of securing silverware and sustained topflight performance.
