A key figure in Nigeria’s Flying Eagles setup, Salihu has built a reputation for dictating tempo and unlocking defenses. His move is viewed as both a personal milestone and a step forward in Gabala FC’s bid to enhance their squad depth with technically gifted players.
Speaking after sealing the deal, Salihu expressed excitement at the opportunity: “I’m looking forward to contributing to Gabala FC’s success and continuing to grow as a player. It’s a new challenge I’m ready to embrace.”
The contract’s flexibility—with a one-year term and an option to extend—gives both parties room to assess the fit as the season progresses.
With Salihu now part of their roster, Gabala FC fans will be hopeful that the Nigerian midfielder can replicate his national team form and become a key figure in their push for domestic and continental success.
