Nigeria U20 goalkeeper Ebenezar Harcourt says he is determined to keep improving after helping Nigeria reach the WAFU B U20 Championship final with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Niger Republic.
The match, played in Ghana, ended 0–0 in regular time, but Ebenezar Harcourt made a crucial save in the shootout as Nigeria won 4–3 on penalties. He was named Man of the Match for his performance.

“I will never get carried away with this success. I will keep putting in my best, and in every game I’m ready to better my best,” Harcourt said after the game.
The 16-year-old, who plays for Sporting Lagos, showed composure and confidence throughout the match.
His penalty save gave Nigeria an early edge in the shootout, which the Flying Eagles capitalized on to secure a place in the final.
With the U20 World Cup approaching, Harcourt’s form is seen as a key asset for the Nigerian team.
He has been praised for his maturity, reflexes, and mental strength in high-pressure situations.
Nigeria will now face the winner of the other semi-final in the WAFU B U20 final later this week.
