Warri Wolves are the new kings of the Nigeria National League (NNL) after a dramatic 3-2 win over Wikki Tourists in the final of the Super 8 playoffs on Saturday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The Seasiders wasted no time asserting dominance, racing to a 3-0 lead inside the opening 25 minutes. Yusuf Abdullateef set the tone in the 7th minute before turning provider for Igbunu Evwierhurhoma nine minutes later. Joshua Shemaye then added a third with a composed finish to cap off an electric start.

Though Wikki Tourists mounted a strong comeback — with Mamuda Aliyu and Wonderson Yakubu finding the net in the 35th and 59th minutes respectively — Warri Wolves’ early blitz proved enough to seal the championship.
