As Crown FC arrives in Asaba for the much-anticipated Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs, Technical Adviser Alexander Ayodeji Ayeni has urged his players to stay focused and rise to the occasion as the club chases a coveted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) ticket.
The Ajilete Warriors, who impressed during the regular season, will battle Kun Khalifat, Warri Wolves, and Osun United in the Southern Conference fixtures of the playoff tournament.

The round-robin competition, set to kick off on Saturday, July 5 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, represents the final hurdle for teams aiming for top-flight promotion.
Addressing his squad shortly after their arrival in Asaba on Wednesday evening, Coach Ayeni struck a confident tone while warning against any form of complacency.
> “Let me state that hard work, commitment, determination, and the grace of God brought us here,” he said. “This isn’t a day’s job – it’s taken teamwork and consistency. Our mission remains unchanged: secure promotion. This is the last stage to achieve our goal, and I urge you all to double your efforts. Stay focused and don’t get carried away.”
Crown FC’s resurgence this season has sparked optimism among fans, both home and abroad, who see this Super 8 as a golden opportunity for the club to return to Nigeria’s top football division.
