NFF Names 16 Top Referees for 2025 NNL Super Eight in Asaba

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially unveiled the list of match officials for the highly anticipated 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight tournament, scheduled to run from July 5 to 12 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

In a move aimed at ensuring officiating excellence, the NFF has selected a blend of 16 elite referees and assistant referees from both the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the NNL, reflecting a strong commitment to integrity and professionalism in the game.

Leading the officiating crew are NPFL referees such as Solomon Aweng (Plateau), Bashir Adamu (Kaduna), Abubakar Zubairu (Katsina), Anthony Eze (FCT), and Faro Abdulrahman (Lagos). They will be joined by top-performing NNL referees including Stanley Chibuiko (Enugu), Henry Osuomon (Edo), and Kalu Ezichi (Abia).

For assistant referees, the NPFL contributes four representatives: Mohammed Ibrahim and Aminu Mammaga (both from Zamfara), Zachariah Nde (Akwa Ibom), and Dahiru Muazu (Adamawa). The NNL completes the lineup with Shittu Toheeb (Ogun), Igwe Emmanuel (Rivers), Eze Chinonso (Anambra), and Ciroma Bukar (Borno).

The selected referees will be tasked with managing the high-tension fixtures involving the eight qualified teams — four from the Northern Zone and four from the Southern Zone — who are vying for promotion to the elite Nigeria Premier Football League.

As the countdown to kickoff begins, all eyes will be on Asaba, not just for the football action, but also to observe the standard of officiating expected to reflect the NFF’s drive for fair play and technical quality in Nigerian football.
