*Super Eagles Land in London Ahead of Unity Cup Opener Against Ghana*

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in London to commence preparations for the 2025 Unity Cup, a four-nation invitational tournament featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, May 28, at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.

A total of 20 players are currently in camp, comprising 10 home-based talents and 10 foreign-based professionals.

The home-based contingent, led by captain Ahmed Musa, includes Junior Nduka (Remo Stars), Ifeanyi Onyebuchi (Enugu Rangers), Sodiq Ismaila (Remo Stars), Waliu Ojetoye (Ikorodu City), Papa Daniel (Niger Tornadoes), Saviour Isaac (Enugu Rangers), Collins Ugwueze (Enugu Rangers), Sikiru Alimi (Remo Stars), and Abubakar Adamu.

The foreign-based players who have joined the camp are Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi, Cyriel Dessers, Nathan Tella, Felix Agu, Igho Ogbu, and Bruno Onyemaechi .

Five additional players—goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, midfielder Christantus Uche, and forward Samuel Chukwueze—are expected to arrive in the coming hours to complete the 25-man squad .

Head coach Eric Chelle has emphasized the importance of the Unity Cup as an opportunity to blend experienced internationals with emerging homegrown talents.

The tournament serves as a preparatory platform ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria’s opening match against Ghana promises to be a thrilling encounter, reigniting a historic rivalry on an international stage. The Super Eagles aim to make a strong statement as they pursue success in the Unity Cup and beyond.
