Nigeria’s female youth national team, Falconets will this Friday tango hosts Poland in an international friendly as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will begin in the East European country next week.
Sports247 reports that Friday’s game comes after the Falconets commenced full scale training on Wednesday at Stadion Miejski in Trzebnica, with the players displaying a lot of zeal, intensity and dedication, following their arrival in Poland on Tuesday.

After this Friday’s game, the Falconets will also face South Korea on Tuesday, as coach of the side, Moses Aduku aims to test his players against different styles of play, sharpen his tactics and gain exposure against quality opposition.
A press statement by the communciations department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that Friday’s friendly will take place at Municipal Stadium in Brzeg, starting at 12 noon local time, while that versus Korea is scheduled for Remes Resort & Spa Football Stadium, with kick off fixed for 4pm.
Officials said both friendlies will enable the technical crew assess the team’s progress and make necessary adjustments ahead of the World Cup, while helping the players adapt to the pace, intensity and demands of international competition.
Sports247 gathered further that the Falconets will compete in Group F at Poland 2026, where they will first confront Spain on September 7th, after which they play versus China on the 10th of September and end first round fxtures against New Caledonia three days later.
