Nigerian sprinter Magdalene George delivered a stellar performance at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, bagging three medals and setting two collegiate personal bests in an unforgettable weekend for the University of Nevada.

The sprint sensation blazed to a silver medal in the women’s 100m, clocking a college-best time of 11.34 seconds (with a +2.0 m/s wind).

She doubled her success in the 200m, where she also claimed silver in 23.12 seconds (+1.9 m/s), another personal record.

George’s outstanding individual efforts earned her 16 points, making her one of the highest individual scorers for Nevada at the championships.

She wasn’t done yet—George played a vital role in the women’s 4×100m relay, launching her team’s campaign with a strong lead-off leg.

The Nevada quartet raced to a third-place finish, stopping the clock at 45.21 seconds, adding six more points to the team’s tally and securing the bronze medal.

With a total of three medals and 22 points contributed to her team’s effort, Magdalene George has once again proven to be a force to reckon with in collegiate sprinting.

Her consistent improvement and competitive edge mark her as a rising star to watch—both on the U.S. college circuit and internationally for Nigeria.
